POSITION PURPOSE

Meets, greets and directs all visitors to Republic’s headquarters building. Provides back office support, mail sorting and distribution and executive staff administrative support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Meets, greets and processes all visitors. Directs visitors to appropriate person or location.

  • Answers multi-line telephone system; responds to inquiries and directs incoming calls.

  • Assists with sorting and distributing daily United States Postal Service mail, internal mail and Federal-Express deliveries.

  • Assists in organizing and maintaining office and break room supplies.

  • Supports executive staff with meetings, luncheons and miscellaneous business needs.

  • Manages conference room booking and allocation.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary to perform this job.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Proficient in computer software skills.

Requires less than 1 year of experience working with a variety of computer software programs.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Specialty training beyond high school / Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent.

Prefer at least 1 year of experience. Office environment experience helpful.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Able to write simple correspondence. Able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other associates of the organization.

REASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY

Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

DECISION MAKING

Makes limited decisions and determines best methods to solve problems by referring to established precedents and policies. Impact of decisions is moderately low.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Able to move about the work environment.

Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear

Ability to lift up to 10 pounds up to 65% of the time and up to 25 pounds up to 30% of the time.

Able to use close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less).
